Drunky dreaming

Last night I dreamt I was drunk. And I also had lots of other dreams aswell.. Rather strange night to be honest. Anyway, I dreamt I was drunk, and to be drunk in an awake sober condition made it feel like I was even more drunk. And the strange thing was that I had this kind of hangover feeling this mornig. Creepy.

but, as I haven't found any empty winebottles or such in my house, I know for sure it was just a dream :)) hehe

booojah

Now I'm done with 2/3 of my work at the hospital and it feels awesome! not only soon done, but then done forever :D no way I'm gonna go back in that business.

Today I felt rather sick at work.. all thanks to aunt Irma if any of you have seen the IT crowd ;) and I can't say it became any better when it turned out to be pollock burgers (karbonader) as dinner for the patients. I hate the smell of most fishes in general, but karbonader is even worse in my opinion.

Now I've just been to a café with some friends, which was nice as always :)

I guess that was about it ;)

What I do all day long is looking at cars

Most of the day when I walk around cleaning, saying hello to everbody or cut vegetables, I see cars. There's cars all over the place + salesmen talking about cars. So, after cleaning between lots of cars, I've now learnt lots of new car brands and if I don't think about all the technique and such, I sorta know what kind of car I'd love to have.

I'd love to have a Ford Fiesta in this color:
Or a Focus in this color:

Lovely colors huh? :p

Anyhow, enough about cars..

As I've mentioned in an earlier blogpost, I love the film Gran Torino. Lately I've also fallen in love with the Theme song, sung by none other than the director AND maincharacter in the film: Clint Eastwood! He sings along with Jamie Cullum though, but it's a really nice song, and it's even better if you've seen the film first :)

Couldn't find the song on youtube, but if you've got Spotify, you can listen to it HERE ;)

Today there was supposed to be some valleyball going on at my school, but it got cancelled because of shit weather. That means I'm home, tucked under a blanket while looking out at the miserable weather. It's pouring down, and the last thing I would want to do now, is to go outside.

I think I'll watch a film or something :D

The Pursuit of HappYness

Last night I ended up watching the film "The Pursuit of Happyness" where the father and son in real life, Will Smith and Jaden Smith, played together in the same film.

The film is inspired/half based by/on a true story, about Chris Gardner, based in San Franscisco in 1981. Christopher Gardner is a struggling salesman and what he's trying to sell is a "Bone Density scanner". Very few doctors want to buy it, as it's just slightly better than the current technology, but much more expensive. So while he stuggle with selling these machines, his wife leaves him and he has to take care of their son Chistopher Jr on his own. He then comes over a stockbroker internship position at Dean Witter, but this is unfortunately without any payings. He decides to do it, and this internship on the other hand, can lead to a position as a stockbroker, but there's only one out of the twenty candidates who get it.

He and his son is being kicked out from the appartment as they can't pay, and he and his son has to struggle alot, from living on the streets till maybe being lucky enough to get a room at the hostel for the homeless.

It's a touching story and it's fascinating to see how Chris Gardner made it in the end. He's now a selfmade millionaire, entrepreneur, motivational speaker and philanthropist.

It's a good film all in all.

Give Peace A Chance

Today has been a nice day. I ended up in town at a coffée shop with friends and we sat there for hours :) Now I'm back home, with freckles on just my right cheek. It annoys me, and trust me, I don't prefer getting freckles on neither side of the cheeks.

Earlier today I watched a documentary about John Lennon. He was an admirable person, and the documentary was about how the US reacted when he tried to make a revolution with the song "Give Peace A Chance" along with his wife Yoko Ono. I'm not gonna say much more about that, but I really admire John Lennon.

But off I go. My stomach are craving food, so I'll be off making myself some lasagne :)

Back in the 90's

This evening I'm home alone, so I decided to go into the storeroom to mess around a bit.. well, I do try to keep it tidy, when checking out all the boxes from the good old days though.. Anyhow, I came across this huge box saying "Marit's clothes", which means clothes from when I was just a little girl. I had to have a peak, because I can still remember some of those clothes, and they for sure bring back memories, even though I'm not sure I'm full aware of it. So now I'll let you have a peak aswell, and from what was in the box, my conclusion will always be that most kids born in the 90's had a terrible clothing style compared to how it is today :p

So, let's see. There we've got my "Busserull" dress, and in the background you can see a not so nice t-shirt in velvet fabric. I remember I loved to wear it. And I also had a belly button Spice Girls T-shirt. They were my heroes, and I remember my dad bought it in Libanon, and it was like a dream came true for me, when I got it.. Just too bad it was a few sizes to big for me at that time, but I still used it a lot:)

Although I almost never wore a purse when I was little, I still had a few. And among them was the little red one, and I remember my brother had a tie in the same pattern. So you can say we matched in birthdayparties or whatever we were going to :p

As already mentioned, I can't say I like the clothing style on kids born in the 90's (when I look back at it now I mean, because I bet we all felt really pretty at that time) ,but I have to admit I still find the blue checked dress cute, so I wouldn't mind wearing something like it, if it was in my size :)

Ciao!

AwkwardFamilyPhotos for sure!

I recently came over a rather.. hmm, let's say interesting blog. It's called AwkwardFamilyPhotos, and there's lots of funny photos on there.

Here's some examples:

Chapter 27

I've just watched the film Chapter 27, which is about the murder of John Lennon. We follow the murderer Mark David Chapman in New York for 3 days, where he turns from being John Lennon's biggest fan, to wanting to kill him.

He was a huge fan of the book The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salingers where the main character is someone called Holden Caulfield. He carried this book on the night he fired the gun. The reason why the film is called Chapter 27 is that Mark David Chapman wanted to write a chapter 27(it was already 26) of the book The Catcher in the Rye with John Lennon's blood. (Sick huh?)
Mark David Chapman had always been a bit of a loner and when he was arrested without incident, his statement to the police three hours later was, "I’m sure the large part of me is Holden Caulfield, who is the main person in the book. The small part of me must be the Devil."

Jared Leto who plays the main role as Chapman, does a brilliant job. In my opinion the worst thing about this film is that Lindsay Lohan is in it.

It's sick though, that you can go from a state of admiring and being a huge fan of a person, to wanting to kill the person. Some of the reason for this sudden turnaround was when John Lennon had said something in an interview, which Chapman couldn't tolerate, and as Chapman had felt that John Lennon's songs was written directly to him, Chapman felt it as a betrayel.

It's a good film though, so it's worth to see!

In the middle of all the exam preperation for tomorrow, I allow myself to blog. I've just had an ice coffee, which for sure made it slightly easier to study.. atleast for a few minutes. I still feel I'm screwed, but after getting the preparation papers today, it doesn't feel too nervewracking after all, although I wouldn't mind dying right now, and then wake up on Thursday :p
And yet again I managed to be distracted from cramming.

Check THIS out.
How fast to you type, and how many words can you type within a minute? :)

Please tell me! ;)

It's sunny outside, hunny :)

Today I've got the day off, and it feels great as always! :D Most of the day I wander around in the house in just my underwear, singing along to loud music, before I eventually tell myself that I have to do homework :/ Today is a sunny day, so maybe I can do some of it outside :)

oh, and I've fallen in love with something called fried rice crackers. This is how they look like:
just too bad it's so expensive in Norway. I wanna go back to Chinatown!

Canada vs. Russia

Today I haven't been up to too much to be honest, just relaxing :) I ended up watching Twilight though, as I haven't seen it before. It was quite good, and yes, Edward Cullen is pretty darn handsome.

Right now I'm watching the World Championship in Ice Hockey, Canada vs. Russia. Our dear neighbours Sweden came on 3rd place, and got the bronze medal, so now it's all about waiting to see who'll get the gold medal this year :) I put a finger on Canada, but one can never be sure.

So, must the best team win! :)

I wanna get away, on a holiday ♫

I've just been swipping and swopping through the TV channels, and ended up at the the travel chanel: Program Planet Food. I LOVE foreign dishes and this show was from Singapore and India. I'm already a huge fan of indian food, but when I saw all the yummy stuff they've got in Singapore I got water in my mouth and wanted to go there immidiately.
So hooray for foreign food! :D

"All I got to be is be HAPPY"

What's better than having a short day at school, get home by bike while the sun is shining and the wind is blowing through the hair, and for a second feel free from homework and school?

Then suddenly the truth kicks in and makes me remember the stupid assignment I have to hand in tomorrow. But then I think about the few weeks I've got left at school, and that makes me smile, but at the same time it gives me a strange feeling. I've been told lots of times that I'll miss school and all that, and I know I just have to believe it, but at the same time it's just weird to think about. But yes, I know I will miss school, but that's ofcourse only the social part of it :) so screw all the subjects! :D

oh well, enough dreaming, it's still 8,5 week left, but during that time, I know I'll have a hell of a great time in May :D

London Pride

I'm bored and I'm waiting for Lise to come.. she's probably sitting on the train right now :)

well, while being bored I'm listening to proper London music. And by that I mean music that is about London. In the music magazine Uncut I bought in London there was this free CD (and I quite like free CD's that comes with magazines) and the CD is called London Pride.
so while listen to jolly London music am I looking through this cute little book. I find J.K Rowling a brilliant writer, so I just had to buy it! :D ( only 3.5£ :O )
ooh, and I haven't introduced you to my new buddy :D
My Canon EOS 1000D camera I got for my birthday :D We get along pretty good, although I have problem understanding all its functions :p

The World Was A Mess, But His Hair Was Perfect ♫

I'm back after jogging, and it was really nice as it's not too hot outside to do so. First I ran through alot of fog, as it was quite foggy down by the beach. Eventually I ended up in the forest, as I sprinted up this long hill. When I managed to get on the top of it I was exhausted. So, I ended up taking a break, and while doing so I managed to rip up my pants right where my bum is :/ it's just so typical, but luckily I had a long sweater :)

Off I go to the shower, before I'll probably put together a smoothie :D

If you're going to England...

... Don't try the cider called Scrumpy Jack! It tastes sh*t!
Apparantly it's Premium English Cider. Bullsh*t in my opinion :p

Magazines :]

I love magazines, especially foreign ones, both because they're better than the norwegian ones and also because I love music magazines, which is rare in norway.. (unless they're foreign magazines ofcourse).

pretty much everytime I go abroad I buy magazines, even though if I don't understand the language. Like last time I ended up with a work out magazine in hungarian, with a pretty cool bottle :) But this time, as I went to London I could just go mental in the magazine racks without thinking about understanding the language or not.. because I do understand english :D
I quite love the british music scene, so while I bought lots of music magazines, Lise on the other hand bought lots of fashion magazines.

Shopping in London makes me go crazy! :D

As already mentioned I went pretty nuts in London when it came to shopping. But how can I resist it all when it's so cheap at the same time as nice? :)

The 11 purses I bought :D I fear my mum will go mental if she sees them all :p
A pile of the clothes I bought.

And some of them put on hangers.

Waist belts; can never have too many of them. The one to the right is purple and not blue as it might look like.

All I need now is a bigger room!
